Four stages on the journey to realise your goals

There are four stages that form the basis of our entire consultative thinking and rationale; they are central to our approach.

We call it 2143™ as it likens the stages on a road-map. These numbers represent the PHYSICAL stages on the journey and, while we examine all aspects of our clients businesses in the correct sequence of 1,2,3 and 4, graphically we see it as 2143.

Stage 1 of our 2143 Discovery Program™ involved our carrying out a series of diagnostics including comprehensive internal staff and external client surveys, S.W.O.T. and "Stop/Start/Continue" exercises. This information provided us with clear current situation indicators, gaps and what was required on individual and collective bases at all levels throughout the business.

Stage 2 challenged our clients to look back over their history and "road traveled", what they had done well, not so well...an exercise not to attribute blame or recriminations but to learn from the experience and ensure mistakes were not repeated.

Stage 3 included the formulation of a detailed 3-year strategic thinking and planning document, the emphasis being very much on the "thinking" element rather than the actual planning. We finished the plan having firstly established agreed values, mission and vision followed by allocating names, dates and responsibilities to individuals and teams to achieve goals and supporting tactical plans.

Stage 4 involved a series of facilitated group and 1-1 sessions over 18 months with senior management in the first instance and then with the wider team to take them through a comprehensive personal and management team development programme. Psychology of success concepts coupled with psychometric testing to assess personality types, were used extensively to build competence and commitment within the team.
